Odds are they'll only allow one word/name, so you could only add in Dick [which they wouldn't, due to Dick being also penises and not just names.] or Svukyrson, which at best you'll get Svukyrson Willie/Willy Svukyrson

Apologies for the double post, but Stretch Goal 2 - Fossils has been past, and the Stretch Goal No. 3 has been added to the pre-order page...

Starter pets!

As you can probably tell from the stretch goal 3 page, havin' the ability to tame the wildlife and go around with your PopToppens and your SnailMoppens like a Monster Ranchin' lil' vidja game was announced/confirmed quite a bit ago, according to the stretch goal 3 page, starter pets'll be different.

$1,000,000 Stretch Goal
After hiring a few artists I don't really get how fossils went faster with more money, but I can kind of understand pets BUT after already getting everything else for Novakids and fossils I don't get why it costs as much as fossils did. There's tonnes of legitimate and just complaining on the stretch goal 3 page, but I think this guy has some great points

I still do not like the stretch goals. Very much dislike the stretch goals.

Yeah, three is really pushing it. I have a hard enough time fathoming how fossils cost $250,000, but okay, whatever. But another $250,000 for pets? Yeah, I can see why people would be angry. It really looks like money grubbing when you go this far.

Oh man, those pets sound like Hazo!
Or XSSA.
But yeah, I dunno, eye'm just hopin' they don't go any further than this.

I kind of doubt that they will, considering the huge justified backlash against pets and the fact they were struggling to figure out another stretch goal.

But still, the best point against starter pets was that 1/3 of users were vocally against it, and that's just the ones that actually got wind of it ever having a vote against. I didn't know it was going on, I'd vote against it.

But yeah, 125000$ stretch goal is pretty unlikely.

Once again, my apologies for the double post, but one of the devs, Rho tweeted this image.

http://i.imgur.com/YKm8G7z.jpg

That's apparently a Hylotl ship! It looks like Slash when he doesn't get his beauty sleep.

In it, we can see an armoured character, presumably a Hylotl. A fancy door lookin' thing, which looks particularly NOT spacelike. A laundry chute? And presumably how it looks when you're in orbit over a planet, but not actually descending onto it yet. Or it might just be a nice backdrop. WHO KNOWS? The Starbound devs. But we're not the Starboundles.

Discuss. I'm actually kind of underwhelmed, but it's alright I suppose.

It's hard to take a lot from the image, because there's not really much there. Looks neat, though.

Ohhh, that looks fancy!
But then I looked at it again and realized how small it was...

The 1 million mark from pre-orders was hit. Starter pets'll be in the game. There's a million bucks before taxes and such getting to the Chucklefish team. So that's nice.

Double Post, Double Spoiler, Twice The Fun!

They've started up with some blog posts up at the main page of Starbound and they can be found here,
here that's the most girly sword I've ever seen, here.

There might be more blog posts similar to this soonish or weekly, we don't really know yet.

---------

Also they're publishing Risk of Rain Blog post here

There's a lot of unreleased games under their belt for such a small company, yup. Though most of the games that aren't Starbound are just publishing, which is interesting for an indie company to be doing. Well, one that isn't Mojang I mean.

I like those biome updates, and the shield sounds pretty cool.

Also, doesn't Mojang make all the games they publish?

Cobalt is technically being developed by Oxeye Games and published by Mojang. Technically.

I'm going to scrounge up $45 somehow and get one of my names put into that name generator!

Unless, of course, my bestest friendest on the staffest, Ken, got one of those four-packs and is going to give me one =3 If that's the case I'll save my money.

I would just like to repeat my warning that it is a name generator. It is random. You yourself may never see it and/or your name might be put onto someone who cleverly put in the Finnish words for Dickbutt and other various things. If you still want it, well go ahead. I ain't stoppin' yah.

Rayson's a pretty common name. Wouldn't be surprised if it's already in there but Keniruhs? I don't think so. Fox, scrounge up 45USD and buy Ken a slot in the stars!

I don't think buying a 4-pack contributes to the name thing.

Creature evolution looks neat!

I was thinking more along the lines of "Kataleimma", "Farkrithe", "Zaexes", "Sicero", "Xaina"...one of those. You know, the normal stuff of mine.

[Unless you can read my mind or are a stalker, you should only have gotten two of those. Three if your memory is good of chatbox conversations from like six months ago. Any leftovers are minor foreshadows for PR0T0TYPE. No, I haven't forgotten about that, silly.]

EDIT: I know, Ken, but if I was given a free copy I wouldn't waste my time getting $45 dollars for the name thing.
