We did...well MOAR did, anyway (go figure...). Me, Mecha, Moar (no duh), and I think Ken liked the mod. Forgot what Kan and Run's take was on it...but the mod already has the majority vote even if Kan and Run disagreed...so yeah.

The thing is, the mod doesn't change the game in any huge way. It basically takes what the game already has (weapons, throwing items, dispensers) and expands on it somewhat (stronger but slower weapons, throwing knives, javelins, cannons, muskets, etc.). It doesn't add anything crazy like magic or 1000 new blocks or five new biomes, just a wider variety of weapons.

My only problem with mods is that I, shocking as it may be, do not have the best clue on installing them. If I knew how, I would, but I don't want to end up installing a mod and making my game forced to play the mod; Like if I could install it but have the choice between the normal Minecraft and the modded one I would jump on it on the get go, but I have no idea how installation of mods work.

As for the Weapons mod, I am interested in, if only because it adds more to what has already been established to the game (simply new recipes for new weapons). The Zeppelin one I've heard of and like, but as of now I have to figure out how installing work.

While I am posting, what exactly is Runia again? Was that Runalot's city of the future built as a foil to Shamar's older and more traditional ways?

Anyways, my point still stands, I'll try installing to see if things work, if so, you can consider me ready for a chance at mods.

TL;DR: I like the idea, but in an ironic twist, I don't know shit about installing mods.

Hey Run, I was looking on the Bukkit site to see what plugins were updated, and I stumbled upon this:

...I hate double-posting. Please help me out by not making me have to do this in the future...

Anyways, since the server is down half the time, and not to mention without plugins *deathstares at Bukkit*, me, Mecha, Moar, Needle, and Jonneh have taken up a secondary residence in the "FantasyWar" Server. Basically, it's a MORPG-style Faction Server.

If you wish to join our secondary adventures in this large, heavily-populated-but-reliable server, let me warn you of the dreaded tutorial. It's quite lengthy and it REQUIRES you to actually read the long signs, as they ask a question every section. But hey, no whitelist.

Also, we joined the Empire (basically class. Each empire has their own unique spawn town in their respective biome) called "Baboon". Their spawn town (accessed by the command /warp baboon) is basically a dense Jungle Biome. We have established a little treehouse-base in the wilderness, and united with a local faction called "Bengal" in order to ensure it doesn't get grief''d.

I recommend joining when one of us is online, as things can get...hectic when you're alone. Trust me, I know. The server sucks when you're all by yourself without a friend, and the best way to get directions to our treehouse base is from one of us. The atmosphere is quite different from Runalot's private server, but until Bukkit updates (and when the server is down) it will make a good secondary location if we want to play MineCraft online together.

I might update my JoaJ blog with some wacked-up RP story explaining the details on a fictional RP level later.

Update on the FW situation:

As you guys know, we've recently been raided by Recon, and had them become allies with us. As of this posting, I have found their base. It's past the King's Place in Orinoco Village, far out. Just keep heading one way, and you'll find it eventually. Hopefully, this knowledge will not have to be used, but if so, we will use it to screw them over.

So I'm sure we're all aware of our server's extended downtime. Not only is our server not consistent (understandably), but also Run seems to not be able to turn it on recently.

So out of curiosity I looked around for MC server providers, just to humor myself to the cost, and found this:

I looked at every detail of this, and I am 98% sure this is legit. I even got to chat with the main guy in charge of this to get all the details of what kind of plan we'd need.

For a server our size (No more than 20 people) with 3-4 plugins (Economy, Warp/Shop signs and whatnot) he recommened a 1GB plan, which runs at $7.50 a month. Not bad, considering.

(Oh and before you ask, part of it operates on Bukkit, so no conflictions there =3)

Our only problem, then, is who would be willing to pay. I'm not sure if Run is willing, nor am I positive if anyone of us (including me) has a method of paying for this. It's very cheap and I could pay it if I could, I just don't have personal access to a credit card to do it XD. So yeah, whatcha think? I think $7.50 a month is worth getting our server back up and in a dedicated state =P

Although the 20 grand thing is true trust funds are nice :3

It's happening people, I'm going to relaunch the server, as such, I want everyone to reapply for the whitelist just to see who's still active (You can find the template in the OP). By the way, were going to be starting completely fresh on a new map.

5. If Ken likes you, you get (inconsequential) gifts.
6. Believing any of the above rules makes you an idiot.

No but seriously, by the power of copy and paste!:
1.No Griefing
2.No Stealing
3.No Spawn-Killing
4.Be Respectful
5.Only use Creative Mode for building
6.Don't build big things in creative without authorization

Something I want to say, however, is that I personally think we should creative mode as little as possible. As in, if someone is stuck on top of the Nether or something. It just seems inconsistent to sometimes use it and sometimes not. Also, can we just eliminate iConomy? It just makes things WAAAAY too easy. Ruins the fun, imo.
